House hopes...

I'm a bit excited again about finally getting a house. The hubby and I went to see two houses yesterday and I was really liking the second house we saw. The first one was in a Seattle area that was not horrible, but it was not that good. The owners were still living there and they were obviously musicians by all the guitars and other equipment used for music making. They were also obviously smokers by the smell that permeated their home. I got a bad headache just being in there. Later, the hubby told me that it was weed-smell that I had nearly gotten sick on. Gah. It was bad. The second house was empty, but had little origami paper cranes strewn about on the window sills. I was impressed by the houses right across from it. There was a huge beige one with a three car garage and a green one that was a nice size. It is right next to an elementary school and park and although it has a Seattle address according to the real estate website, it is situated in Skyway, south of Lake Washington. New plumbing and roof, score! I hope we win the bid, then the inspection goes well, and then the appraiser approves it for our loan. Easy as that...
